journal entry five(All Blacks) : Super Sixers

The State stages were up. Everyone are ecstatic. This year, the State stage will be held at one of the great teams in the state. The Stars. They have equipments that other schools can only afford in their dreams. The were the State champions for two years running. Another team that could deny All Blacks from winning is the Edwards' ,or Eds for short, and the Mounts. These four teams are the big four . Every year, they fight for the only two spot available for the Finale , which this year would take place at Kay Elle. The big city. The 1st placed winner will have the golden ticket while the second place will go against the runner-up of another state.

So, the team traveled by bus to Stars. It was a 1 hour drive. They arrived three days early to get everyone training in other territories. As the bus pulled up in front of the hotel, 12 people quickly rushed to the 7-11 and bought stocks. It is a codename for cigarette , so that the coach nor teachers could find out.

Upon checking-in, they quickly headed straight to Stars' field. When they entered, The students there was jeering and trashing the All Blacks. "FUCK OFF LOSERS and STOP WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME AND GO HOME" were the common chants. But one chant ticked off Musician. "LOOK, THE POOR PEOPLE WANNA BORROW OUR TOYS". He saw the kid he said that and went straight up to him and gave classic flying-kick onto the kid. The kid went out cold. Stars' student , or the science six counter parts, came down and almost started a rumble. Just as the Bratva' All Blacks player came to defend Musician, Star's principal came with Hulk.

The rumble didn't even started and the admins from both school had arrived. Hulk called Musician and told him to control himself. He gave Musician a suspension for 5 days. Musician was sent straight back to school. The team tried talked to Hulk on about the suspension but was unsuccessful. Hulk said they need to have class and be more matured. Athlete went to total outrage mood. Musician was the best inside in the team. Instead of heading for training, they went to say goodbye to Musician as he headed back to school.

After dinner that night, everyone went up the roof of the hotel. They discussed the problem with cigarettes as they are too tensed . Two days to go and their already sad as one of their star player can't play. Native, the best stand-off in the state , made everyone kind ease as he made funny jokes. Eventhough , those jokes may not able to make there tense go away but it does mean they have to stay focus for the game coming.

As they sat on the flat rooftop, talking, smoking, the coach called Choice and announced the quarter finals draw. The All Blacks were up against Anderson High School. Everyone wanted to jump around as Anderson High rugby team is as good as the Pirates, but the thought of changing formation could match up the odds.

The next two days they went training at the public field . The principal and organizers wanted to avoid any other "kick flying" incident to happen.

The morning of their quarter-final match, everyone headed to Stars for complimentary breakfast. They were jeered as usual but everyone thought of Musicians suspension and decide to do nothing. The game was scheduled in the afternoon. It was the second match of the quarter finals. The first match was between the Eds and Mustee, a unpopular rugby team. Eds won 36-5. The All Blacks were pumped up as the formation is changed and it will be tough for them to cope.

So quarter final match was about to begin as both team shook hands and exchange good lucks between players. After that the 'coin-toss' ceremony. All Blacks called it. They choose the side of goal. Everyone went into their respective formation as the Anderson's stand off kicks the ball.

The whistle had blown and the stand off delivers a long ranged drop kick , into the deep area of the backline. Rugby, playing number 8, caught the ball and ran pass 2 people before going down for a ruck. Athlete took the ball out and started passing to the right. Native also did the same thing when he received the ball. They passed till the ball was with the winger, Trends, who then ran like the wind. It seems that way cause Andersons' players were slower then Trends. Just as he approaching the try zone, the full-back caught Trends and he had to go down for a ruck. Luckily for him, Rugby was behind him and took the ball and jumped into the try zone. They were up 5-0 as Native's kick was a miss due to unpredicted wind.

The match was 10-0 at half-time. It was close. Athlete was concern about the team's morale. So he did something no one would expect. He , in a loud tone voice, humiliated the Anderson team by saying out loud that they suck. The all Blacks started laughing. Then came the second half. Everyone went back with more confident. With that confident , their spirit burnt like an endless torch and won the game 40-0.

Their next match was in the evening. It was gonna be between Them against Eds. They have a real challenge as Eds are just as good as them. The All Blacks had a secret weapon with them. He usually plays first team but the first match he had to miss due to unbalanced formation. But after making a few adjustments, he is ready to play. He is Forest. He is exactly like Forest Gump. He looks nerdy and always panic when the smallest problems occur but he can run fast. He is the fastest in the team. The first game was more of a "push" game. They played more forwards than wing plays.

So the evening came. After a few hours re-energizes , the were as fresh as ever. Going in head strong and knowing everything will be alright if they give 100%. The two teams went to the middle of the field to shake hands as a show of respect and wishing luck to each other. After all that everyone took their position. All Black were to dropkick the ball. Native holds the ball and awaits the whistle.

Before the whistle had blown, everyone paused and looked at three bus pulling over by the side of the road. To their disbelieve, Eds arranged their whole school to come and support their team. Hundreds of Eds students came out with black and red shirts and banners. All Black were a little intimidated. Stars and Eds' students were around the field. All going against them.

They stayed focus. The whistle blew. Native kicked the ball to the far end of the Eds backline. Eds played a more "push" game. They pushed the All Blacks till their 10 line. But it was their scrum-half that made a mistake. He took the ball from the ruck and decided to pass to one of their center. He didn't realize that Choice was ready to intercept it. After a great interception, Choice ran till the middle line before getting tackle. A ruck was formed. Not long after, A few rucks and scrums, the game became exciting when Lizzie scored the first try. The crowd "booed" him but he still celebrated with team-mates. Native kick was good. All Blacks were u 7-0.

All Blacks now has to defend. The Eds fan now started to throw fireworks into the field. One of the fireworks hit IT. His left arm was burnt and was forced a substitute with Tough Guy. They are now under pressure. After Eds kicked off, Gym was suppose to receive the ball but fumbled it. From that, Eds quickly took the penalty by running. Sneaky, they did a double bluff which caused the All Blacks to run towards the wrong guy before realizing the scrum half had scored a try and all is leveled. The game stayed tied up 7-7 till half time. The All Blacks went to their tents, expected drinks but found their 15 year old water boy beaten up and their cooler stolen. Eds supporters are playing dirty.

They were screwed up. Athlete told that they mustn't give up. The second half was tougher then before. The game was hard to call. Right before the final whistle blown, as the score was 7-7, Devil found that the Eds winger was tired. So, he ran towards the winger's side and ran passed through him. All left was the full back. Everything looked like it was in slow-motion in Devil's mind. He ran as fast as he could ad gave shoulder first to the full back. Just as he was reaching the ground, he saw Forest. He quickly gave the ball to Forest and said "RUN FOREST RUN!" And ran he did. The team were jumping as the game was over just as Native stepped up for the kick. But then, he said to himself, " If I miss, we still win." So he called Hot-Head to make the kick. It was a nice kick as they advanced to the finals. All Blacks jumped as high as they could. They overcame a great obstacle. But now all is focused on the final match. The final this year had a changed. This year the finals will be in the States stadium and will be held with the same day as the final football and hockey game.

The night they went out for dinner. All were smiles and happy. Then Athlete said that Stars won against Mounts 44-0. All the smiles faded away as they knew Stars are powerful this year. An their chances were little this year. All Blacks are now in bigger shit than before.
