journal entry six (Ducks) : Dont Trust Anybody

The Ducks are now preparing to departure to Tree High. Tree High is located in another state which takes approximately 3 hours drive. So they had to leave on the Thursday to avoid tiredness from traveling sickness.Their game was on the same weekend as the All Blacks games'. Just as they were about to board the bus, Eyes spotted Hulk's car parking and saw a dark figure on the passenger seat of the car. As the bus left the gate, Eyes saw something that puzzled him. It was Musician.

Eyes called Holland and Slob to sit at the back of the bus with him. He told them what he saw. They asked back if he were certain that he wasn't dreaming and Eyes strongly and confidently stood by his judgment. Slob took out his phone to call Lazy to confirm of the current situation. Just as he finished dialing , Sumo was standing behind them. Sumo was this overweight warden who hunts down students handphones. He is somewhat obsessed in taking away children phones. It was pretty obvious what would happen next.

Sumo went to the front of the bus, which took him him five minutes to get there, and announced for everyone to hand in their phones. Only the juniors gave their phone as they were intimidated by the fats he had. He then noticed Holland and Eyes didn't came forward so he went to the back again and warned them if he finds a phone from any one of them, they will get beaten by his large full of mayo type fats hands. He than went back to his seat located at the middle of the bus. Eyes said in his usual loud voice, " Wow, what an accomplishment. He was able to walk all the to the back and front." The whole bus laughed Sumo then glanced at Eyes. Eyes didn't notice this as he was busy laughing his ass off with Slob and Holland.

Upon arriving, they took the bags from the undercarriage. Unlike the All Blacks, The Ducks had to stay in the Tree High dorm rooms. A total of 32 schools participated.The tournament were divided into 4 seeds. The winner of each seeds will face off in semi finals then finals. The winner of each seeds will also qualify for the Nationals. The Ducks were drafted into seed 2.

In hockey , the teams that are good are, Tree high, Star, PFS and Andersons. The Ducks are in this group. But the best team in the north zone are the Pirates. They won the National Hockey Cup last year. The cup was only for the pros. Not high school pros but the real deal. The only good team that The Ducks were seeded with were Andersons.

The Ducks had 4 more seniors that are great players who joined the team at the last second. Gallagher, Mole, Freak and Skeleton. Gallagher is Lazy's bestfriend and was a guru in music and a straight a student. Mole was IT's bestfriend. Mole was a game freak and and a very handsome guy. Skeleton is well skinny and a frequent DOTA player with his right hand man, Freak.

After spending a night a in a shithole, I mean Tree High dorms, the next day was a free day as the day after was the tournament. Holland arranged a quick training in the morning. By lunch they were done. They had lunch at a stall outside the school. As they were fried noodles, Andersons' bus pulled over. Holland was in Anderson High when he was in freshman year. He spent 4 months there before moving here. So he had a few friends way back when.

The Andersons' players came out and greeted Holland. Holland never looked happier. Holland decided to put Slob incharge as he went to the small town with his old buddies. Slob told the team they could do anything they want but can't do anything to jeopardize their health. Holland didn't came back to the dorm until night time. He came back when everyone was asleep except for Slob , Skeleton , Gallagher and Eyes , who were up playing cards. Holland told them to get some sleep before he too went to bed.

The next morning, at 9 am, all the teams already getting ready to head on the astro-turf stadium which consist of 6 turf fields. By 9.30 many buses were already moving. Well, except for one bis which was parked and not even turned on. If you guested The Ducks then we have a winner folks. Holland, Slob, Gallagher, Skeleton, Mole and Eyes are in the shower playing with soaps and what not. They left the dorm room at 10 and arrived at the stadium at around 10.15am

When they arrived, they were lucky as they were on time for their match against Chung High School. The quarter finals seed 2 were easily predicted. The Ducks, Andersons, Massive High and Tigers were in the semifinals. The semifinals was between The Ducks and the Tiger. In the first half, the match was hard to predict as the score was all tied up 1-1. The team were tired. Gallagher played the full back defense and was on-form. Eyes played top and also did very well by scoring the opener. Holland was unhappy though. He under-estimated Tigers. He wanted to win. This made him extra focus on the game. The second half was even tougher. The Tigers Had changed formation . They played more to wing as they knew Gallagher and Mole are tight on defense. But The ducks had a plan B. They called upon a Freshman to play top. In this rare occasion, never had a freshman played in this tournament. The Tiger laughed their ass off . This gave The Ducks an advantage only they knew. Tigers are now over confident. Holland passed to the freshman a few times but is usually intercepted. Then , out of the blue, Skeleton intercepted the ball that was heading the unfortunate freshman. Skeleton passed the ball to Eyes. By now The Tigers' defense line were in a mess. The ball was passed back to Holland and he gave a drag shot that silenced the crowed.

2-1 was the final score. The Ducks celebrated in joy. They knew that tomorrow's final Andersons were gonna be tough but after what happen on the field, Andersons are the one who are worried.

The night, after dinner, Anderson called Holland to hang for a while. Slob and Eyes weren't happy but the can't let Holland pick his friends. They went back to their dorm hoping that Holland would remember that by tomorrow Andersons will be the enemy. That night, Slob and Eyes were out of cigarette. So Slob decided to play a little poker with the Mids and Sophomores.
As the best hustle in school, he obviously made triple of his weekly allowance. At 11, Slob and Eyes went out to purchase cigarettes at a 7-11 close by. On their way, they found guy lying down on the pathway. As concerns students, well sort of, they went to the guy to check him out. They then noticed that the guy's skin was very fair. Then it struck. It was Holland . They quickly ran to him. Holland was beaten up and unconscious. They carried him back to Tree High.

He was later escorted to the hospital. They knew that Andersons were the ones who made Holland like this. Eyes , Slob , Skeleton and Gallagher went to Anderson dorm room and asked them to admit what they had done. The commotion the caused woke everyone in that school. Andersons' player came out with innocent faces. Eyes went and grab one of the players collar and picked him up. Ready to give the player a taste of his fist, Sumo came and blocked Eyes' punch. He told everyone to get back to their dorms. Eyes wanted to explain to Sumo what had happen but Sumo refuses to listen. As the 5 Ducks walked back , Slob looked back and saw Anderson were smiling and waving. Slob wanted to go back and give a piece of his mind but Sumo blocked his path. So they ended up in their dorm and was locked in by Sumo.

The next day was the finals for seeds level. The winner of each finals will face-off later on at the grand finals , along with the rugby finals and football finals. As the final for seed 1 finished, Star secure a spot for the Grand Finals and for the Nationals. Then came the seed 2 finals.Since Holland was unable to play due to serious injuries, Slob was appointed captain. Anderson were not disqualified as they were no prove that they had done it. Holland was still resting in the hospital. So the truth had to wait for a while.

The game started and the first 30 minute, Andersons were playing all out offense but Freak, Mole ,Gallagher and a Mid were able to hold them off. Then at the 32nd minute , Andersons were able to break the defense line. it was a 3-on-1 as three strikers went against Slob. As his reputation proceeds him, he saved 4 hard shots and cleared the 5th one. The ball was received by Skeleton as he dribbles swiftly pass two players but was tackled before passing to Eyes. At half time, 0-0 was the score. Slob had an idea after seeing a boy almost falling down into a drain at half time. Weirdly, that made him remember that he noticed one of the Andersons defender had been hit by injury in yesterday match. So , this means The Ducks could play psycho with them. But the problem was how to bring the ball forward.

Second half approach and the dominant team was still Andersons. They weren't able to prove Slobs theory as the ball couldn't even pass the middle line. The Ducks were getting tired as they couldn't hold on much longer. Then, Gallagher made a mistake. He accidentally trip Andersons' top striker. Penalty Flick which could be the one that will cause the game as time wasn't far from over. Andersons' striker stepped up to get ready. Slob was, for the first time, nervous. The whistle blew, and the Anderson striker flick the ball. It went so fast that no one could catch the ball by the naked eye. But , there was no sound that the ball hit the wooden cover of the ball . That meant the ball was saved. They looked back and saw Eyes dribbling with the ball. The Anderson players were all around the as they knew the ball was a certain goal. Eyes just had the cripple defender and a fat keeper to beat. The defender approach him. Eyes rose his stick into an almost swing position and aimed the defender's leg. The defender jumped but only to notice that it was a dummy shot. And so did the keeper. The ball entered into the goal with style. And that was it. Eyes was the man of the moment. The Ducks will be joining Star to the Grand Finals.

As they were celebrating, cops came to the field and took away the Anderson team. The stadium was shocked for a second. It wasn't until Holland came in the stadium that everyone figured out what was happening. But The Ducks are far from over to win this.
