After 2 weeks in school , 'The Gang' haven't caused any mayhem since the first day. Maybe it was they were re-adapting to the hostel life. But all that changed on the 3rd Monday assembly, when Popeye had to attend a principal seminar so the Hulk to charge. And as usual, the whole class was asleep since they entered the hall. But when hulk said a sentence that made the whole school woke up." It looks like the Ministry have just gave confirmation on this year's sporting events." It was some kind of a miracle as they all opened their eyes and listen.
The schedule this year is a little different then before. This year every sporting event was in the beginning of the year. So everyone had to start training in order to make it in the roster. There many sports that exists in the school but only a few were given credit. There are the rugby team , also known as 'All Blacks', the football team, 'The United' , the field hockey team , 'Ducks' and the basketball team. ' Cages'. This are the four teams that really people watch. Other teams like the water polo team and volleyball team are medium achievers while the rest just suck. Science six students are mostly from the All Blacks while Eyes, Holland and Slob are in The Ducks.Slob also plays for The Uniteds. Lazy,Monitor and Tall Tales are universal athlete. They only play sports that doesn't involve representing the school. Or in other words, they suck in sports.
All 18 students were happy as when sports season , means no class . But at the same time, they would surely aim for the gold. Each team have their own ups and downs and also the left and rights. The rugby season came first while the hockey season came in the middle of the rugby season while the football season started right after the hockey season.
Rugby was the major sport around here. Everyone wants to be a rugby player. Every tried to be a rugers . But no anyone can make it as the All Blacks. In order to do that, you need strength stamina and a whole lot of brain power. Unlike other sports, rugby is all about consistency.
So, on that exact Monday , right after school, the rugers started their fitness test. Its actually easy to spot the All Blacks from far. 12 of the players are Sixers, Devil and Hips are also part of the line up. The remaining 8 spots are the mids. The competition is a 15-a-side tournament, which means 15 player on field, 5 substitute , 1 towel boy and 1 water boy.
Athlete was the best player in the team. He is short, fast and solid abs. Which pretty much makes him a mini-tank. That is also why he is incharge of the team. He had been dreaming of winning the National Cup since he was in the Mids. So, this year , he built the All Blacks team from scratch. The National Cup is divided in three stages, the District , the State and the Finale. The District is actually an easy stage for them. In order to get through to the State stage, they have to place in the top three. In their district, there only two school that has a rugby team. So do the math. The other team is The Pirates. They are a good team.But not great. The school had been up since 1890. Within those years, those decades , those century, they have never beaten the All Blacks.Ever.
The line up for the District levels are the experimental team. So, after a month of non-stop training, came The State stages. Almost forgetting, All Blacks won against the Pirates 73-0 at the District stages. When the States stages were up, the Ducks were up. They were in the Hockey League(HL). HL have only two stages. the Zone and the Nationals. The Zone Stages consist of three States combining in a league.
The Ducks were an unbalanced team. They have players from all 5 batches. This was due to a whole lot of player in the Seniors quit as they had a little civil war in the team a year back. The civil war caused 7 Seniors to quit the squad . The main reason was Lazy. Since he ways one of the richest kids in school, Metro , a Neutral student from science two , decide to use him for the squad. Lazy wasn't a bad player but he wasn't a great player too. He was average. But somehow Metro didn't like him. Metro promised Lazy a spot in the team. So, Lazy worked hard to impress. And boy did he impressed. But somehow, due to Metro's ego, he still didn't want Lazy to be on the squad. Lazy and Metro got into a fight. The team were spilt into two. Holland was with Metro as he was a star in the team. So , Lazy quit the team. And another 5 followed him and walk out the door. The thing is , the civil war occurred a year ago. When the year started, or a month and a half ago, Metro decided he only wanted to play football and quits the hockey team. So Holland realized Metro only has room for himself in his life. Holland begged the 6 guys who walked out to re-enter, but they declined the offer. So the team had to find recruits. Unfortunate for Holland, not many juniors likes hockey.
